On November 6, 2021, the Tajik-Austrian business meeting took place with the participation of government officials and other interested circles of the two countries in order to discuss the expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects in priority areas.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sharaf Sheralizoda stressed the need to further strengthen constructive ties between the private sector of the two countries in the fields of renewable energy, green economy, industry, digitalization, modern technologies, pharmaceuticals, tourism and other areas of mutual interest. It was also noted the use of new modern tools for the development of economic, trade and investment cooperation, such as investor forums, business forums and joint industry exhibitions is required to contribute to this process.
At the meeting, the leadership of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries, companies and entrepreneurs presented investment opportunities and exchanged views on establishing direct cooperation using the untapped potential of the two countries.
The event was attended by representatives of more than 60 various companies of the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed mutual interest in further strengthening of cooperation.
