Meeting of the Ambassador of Tajikistan with the Assistant of US Secretary of State

On January 5, 2026, at the Department of State, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United States of America Zavqizoda Zavqi held a meeting with the Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Paul Kapur.

At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in order to implement the agreements reached between the leaders of two countries, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the United States of America, His Excellency Mr. Donald J. Trump in November 2025.
