Meeting with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Rector of the United Nations University

On 27 May 2026, on the sidelines of the Fourth High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” 2018–2028, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, and the United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Rector of the United Nations University, Mr. Tshilidzi Marwala.

During the meeting, the issues related to the development of academic exchange, the conduct of joint scientific research, and the involvement of Tajik students and young scholars in educational programmes and internships under the auspices of the United Nations University were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan within the framework of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018–2028”.
