Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with the President of theUN General Assembly 73rd Session

On 20 September 2018 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of  Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Sirojiddin  Muhriddin met with the President of the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly H.E. Ms. Maria Fernanda Espinosa in the UN Headquarters at the framework of his working visit to the New York, USA.

The Foreign Minister congratulated Ms. Espinosa on her election as the President of the UN General Assembly and expressed willingness of Tajikistan to work closely with the UN General Assembly President’s Office in facilitating the fulfillment of international commitments and addressing the current global challenges.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of strengthening the cooperation between Tajikistan and the United Nations entities and also exchanged views on the issues of regional security and the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDGs related to water and sanitation.
