Participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan in the Side Event on the problem of uranium mining activities and its environmental consequences in Central Asia “Central Asia calls for international solidarity”

On 27 September 2019 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the Side Event entitled “Central Asia calls for international solidarity”, which was organized by the Permanent Missions of Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to the UN.

During his speech, Minister spoke about the risks associated with the uranium mines in Tajikistan and expressed the hope that such events would help to intensify and expand efforts for reclamation and rehabilitation of the Environment in settlements of Central Asian countries.
