Standard Visa
Tajikistan introduces a visa-free regime for citizens of 52 foreign states.
Starting from JANUARY 1st, 2022, the unilateral visa-free regime of entry to Tajikistan for 30 days* is active for travellers from 52 countries of the world listed below:

Foreign citizens who have a standard visa and who are subject to a visa-free regime are required to register with the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan within 10 (ten) working days, with the exception of citizens of countries that are exempt from registration for a certain period under the relevant agreements.
Registration of employees of diplomatic services is carried out at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Visa is a conditional authorization granted to a foreigner or a stateless person with the aim to cross the state border, enter, remain, and leave and to transit within the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan during the validity period of the issued visa.
What is a standard visa and how can it be obtained?
A visa is issued in a form of a special sticker, which is attached to a special visa page in the passport or other corresponding documents. Such a category of visa is called standard or sticker visa. Starting from January 1, 2017, henceforth, the Republic of Tajikistan launched an electronic information network system for visa applications. A standard visa of the below-listed categories can be applied in the Embassy of Tajikistan in Berlin.

To apply for a standard visa, please follow the steps below:
STEP 1
Submit the application form and upload the required documents here www.visa.gov.tj
- Provide a valid passport, which has at least two blank pages for a visa;
- Your passport must be valid for at least six months longer than the validity of the requested visa.
STEP 2
When you receive an email stating that “your application has been pre-approved”, please follow the following instructions:
- Contact the Embassy/Consulate and make an appointment;
- On the day of your appointment at the Embassy/Consulate, bring your appointment letter (confirmation of application pre-approval) and application pack/hard copies of documents, along with your passport;
- You will be fingerprinted and your photo will be captured when you arrive for the interview at the Embassy/Consulate.
- Those applicants do not require fingerprints:
- 1) Diplomats;
- 2) Children.
STEP 3
- After a decision has been made, your visa will be ready for collection;
- You will be requested to pay a visa fee in accordance with the visa category you have chosen, before collection of the passport;
- You have to collect your passport in person from the Embassy.

What is an e-visa and how can it be obtained?
The e-Visa is an official document permitting entry into and travel within Tajikistan. If you are a citizen of one of the below-listed countries you can apply for e-Visa at www.evisa.tj. Once your application is successfully completed, your e-Visa will be e-mailed to you. The e-Visa is a single entry visa issued for 90 days, and its holder is not entitled to stay for more than 45 days in Tajikistan commencing from the date of arrival. The electronic visa is not subject to extension.
