Meeting with the Governor of Istanbul

On March 29, 2023, the Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Istanbul Mr. Zohir Mirzozoda met with the Governor of Istanbul Mr. Ali Yerlikaya.

At the meeting, the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey in the political, economic, cultural and educational spheres and the situation of citizens of Tajikistan in Turkey were discussed.

During the meeting, the Turkish side congratulated Mr. Zohir Mirzozoda on his appointment as Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Istanbul.

Zohir Mirzozoda expressed condolences to the Turkish side in connection with the death and injury of a large number of people as a result of a strong earthquake in the southeastern regions of Turkey.

The Turkish side, in turn, thanked the Government and people of the Republic of Tajikistan for providing humanitarian aid and sending rescuers of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the affected areas.

The parties expressed their readiness to cooperate and support the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
